Restricted Access
Access to some material may be restricted or subject to special
conditions.
Restrictions on access may include:
The whole or part of a collection may be closed by request
of the donor for a specified period to protect the privacy
of individuals or organisations.
Certain collections are available for research only with
the permission of the donor.
Collections may be restricted for thirty years from the date
of creation on the basis that personal papers include papers
and correspondence containing sensitive personal and confidential
information.
It is advisable to enquire as to the nature of the access
restrictions prior to visiting the Library.
Access to Material Stored Offsite
Due to space limitations some manuscript collections are
stored offsite. The pictures and manuscripts catalogue
PICMAN indicates which collections are stored offsite.
It may take up to two working days for offsite material
to be made available at the Library. You can order material
while visiting the Library or pre-order material by telephone
on (02) 9273 1414 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
